Renfrew County Envirothon 2012
Renfrew County Envirothon Workshop: The Workshop Day is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn and interact with the outdoors through hands-on training stations. Experienced natural resource professionals will set up workstations focusing on Envirothon topics and learning objectives. Students will rotate through the various sessions and develop practical knowledge and skills, as well as problem solving and critical thinking related to environmental issues. These sessions are based on the four Envirothon subjects – FORESTRY, SOILS, AQUATICS and WILDLIFE, plus the current environmental issue topic, which for 2012 is “Non Point Source Pollution ”. The Workshop will also help prepare students for participation in the Renfrew County Envirothon Competition.
